The date, March 7, 1986, will remain memorable for the Salem Family. It was the date, the Lord said to his servant, Archbishop Sam Amaga, “RAISE ME AN ARMY.” It was a mandate to the servant of God to raise:
“People who are strong in faith.”
“People who are empowered by wisdom.”
“People who are intimate with the Holy Ghost.”
“People who are doing exploit for God and in Life”
In 1988, this vision came alive. The Lord planted this fertile seed widely known today as Foundation Faith Church.
In all sincerity, we cannot tell our story without mentioning the fact that we started humbly at 12, Ino Abasi street, D-Line, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. In 1989, the church moved to 10, Trans- Amadi Road and in August 1993, it relocated to 1, Faith Avenue, Rumuomasi, Port Harcourt. By apostolic movement, Salem International Christian Centre (SICC), the global outreach ministry of Foundation Faith Church was birthed in 1998 and moved to its permanent site in Lekki, Lagos in November 12, 2000.
Interestingly, our mission to Europe started about the same time and by the Grace of God, SICC Europe has its headquarters in London and a network of branches in nations of Europe today.
Do kindly note that this is only an abridged version of our beautiful history. But the age-long great news remains that our Founder, Archbishop Sam Amaga and his wife have always been focused on making covenant ministry seeds. By the covenant ministry seeds, we mean covenant sons who are affirming: “We will be part of a blessing to our world through the vision of establishing over 300 million disciples in over 150,000 churches worldwide before 2055 if Jesus tarries.”
